U3 Ventures purchased 26 S. 40th Street in 2017. Through historic preservation and restoration, this former Philadelphia Electric Company building was brought back to life. Originally designed for the West Philadelphia Institute by iconic architect Frank Furness.  Ceiling heights range from 12 to17 feet and column-free and minimal-column spaces create opportunities for dramatic, flexible, and efficient layouts. We utilized Federal and State Historic Tax Credits, the New Markets Tax Credit, and a RACP grant which I administered.

Commercial square footage: 22,800 sq. ft.

Project cost: $8.6m

Completed: 2020
